Steven Sinofsky knows what he is talking about

Last week I saw a link to this Tweet story by Steven Sinofsky on several Apple related websites. I didn't pay much attention to it until at iMore.com I read who Steven Sinofsky is.
From his Wikipedia page:

[…] is a former President of the Windows Division at Microsoft […] led the design of the shared technologies in Microsoft Office 95 and Microsoft Office 97. He spent about four years as a software design engineer and project lead in the Development Tools group, where he helped lead the development of the first versions of the Microsoft Foundation Classes C++ library for Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Visual C++.

He previously oversaw the development of the Microsoft Office system of programs, servers and services, responsible for the product development of Microsoft Office 2007 and its new ribbon UI. Prior to that he also oversaw the development of Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office XP, and Microsoft Office 2000

The reason why I firstly passed on those articles was precisely that I didn't know who Sinofsky is. Many times I see so-called experts giving their opinions on subjects they only know on paper, and I got tired of reading them.
What I like about Sinofsky story, is that the guy knows what he is talking about. He has worked for a big company overseeing what he is writing about. He has spent years facing similar issues and understands what running a company the size of Apple means.
That's why I'm reporting it here, because in a web of pundits eager to spill virtual ink, reading from the people who have or have had direct experience on the subject is liberating.
