LaTex finds its way to iWork
Jun 22, 2018
Maybe it's a news that interests only scientists and the like, but the full iWork suite is supporting LaTex now!
LaTex is a popular language used to write and format text, scientific articles in particular. Unlike texts written in Pages or Word, LaTex texts need to contain formatting infos too, so that you can focus on contents first without worrying about how that looks on a page.
In other words, LaTex is not a WISIWIG language.
One of LaTex most interesting aspects is it's ability to allow complex formatting, including mathematical equations. That's were things begin to be interesting also for iWork users. Using LaTex not-too-difficult syntax, iWork now enables you to write the most complex equations using LaTex directly into its documents.
You can find some nice guides on LaTex official page, the list of Pages's supported commands is here.
