New MacBook Pro 2018

Thursday, Apple released its updated line of MacBook Pro.
Great machines have become even greater with interesting new features like TrueTone display coming to the Mac; new T2 chip to handle security, booting and to bring "Hey Siri" to the Mac for the first time; 50 to 70% faster CPU performance; optional 32GB of RAM; a new third-generation keyboard for quieter typing and more.

You can find extensive coverage on many Mac-related news sites today, what got my attention, though, is this particular report from AppleInsider: right after announcing the 2018 MBP refresh, Apple finally discontinued its 2015 15-inch MacBook Pro.
The 2015 Pro was the last Apple laptop bearing some legacy technologies like USB-A and in my mind it was still selling strong. Not so apparently:

All of our sources have informed us that the 2016 MacBook Pro have outsold the 2015 dramatically, with one person we spoke to telling us that the ratio was 48 of the newer machines to one of the 2015 for the last few months.
