The Road to Create Booklet 2

Apr 21, 2018

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a small article about Create Booklet 2.
Turns out the lead developer has too, with a bit of history on how we got here and personal anecdotes.

My personal story is that when I was younger, I often had to print booklets with songs and activities to use during summer camps. I recall doing the first one by hand, cutting and glueing pages to where they belonged before making copies of it: it was boresome and bothering because it lacked the precision and flexibility I wanted.
Being an Apple enthusiast in my early teens, as I am now, it was one day, casually browsing the web for something to experiment with, that I found this free print plugin. It was a game changer: I could layout whatever I wanted with Pages and then leave it to the plugin for the necessary page sorting.

If you wish to read more personal stories on Create Booklet 2 you can find them here: I personally love the one where this guy is able to make a handmade book at home and with no special tools.
